Keeping you in motion through massage therapy.

FAQs about massage therapy:

  1. What should I expect during my first massage therapy visit?
The therapist will have you fill out a short health history form. If you have insurance, bring your card with you, and then your therapist will take you back to the massage room. He or she will ask which areas you would like to be worked on and determine which type of massage is right for you.
  2. What do I wear during a massage?
During your massage, you will be appropriately draped at all times. The level to which you disrobe is left entirely up to you. The only part left uncovered will be the section of the body being worked on at that time.
  3. What do I do during a massage therapy treatment?
Relax! If the therapist would like you to adjust your position, he or she will let you know or adjust your arms, legs, etc. Make yourself comfortable and be sure to let your massage therapist know if you need to adjust your position.
  4. How will a massage feel?
That depends on the techniques the massage therapist uses. Our massage therapist does deep-tissue massage, as well as full-body massage depending on your needs. We work with auto claims, work injuries, personal injuries and patients who just want to loosen up those muscles!

Benefits of massage therapy.
Now that spring is here, the flowers are starting to bloom, the sun is coming out, and the weather is heating up...it’s time for all of our favorite outdoor activities. Now is the time that people start getting into shape for those summer months. Taking a jog after work, a bike ride through the park, or a workout at the gym.
With all of that strenuous activity, you might experience that after-workout pain in your muscles. After a good workout your muscles are sore, they get tired, and they need a rest. Massage therapy is the perfect way to help keep your body in motion. It increases circulation, joint flexibility, and reduces recovery time for those vigorous workouts. Massage therapy releases endorphins, which are the body’s natural pain killers.
Massage relaxes and softens sore and injured muscles. That’s why massage therapy is a great way to help your body recover from work injuries, or car accidents as well. And for migraine sufferers, it can relieve some of the pain that accompanies those headaches.
In addition to the physical benefits, massage provides a much needed caring touch that is often absent in today’s world. Safe and caring touch provides a human connection that promotes relaxation and emotional well-being. 1
